Video Poker is a beloved game that can be enjoyed in casinos around the globe, or in your house on your personal computer, through a web connection. The rules are very simple and consist of the player attempting to get the greatest mixture of cards possible in order to come away with money. A list of common winning hands starts with jacks or better, moving on to two pairs, three of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, 4 of a kinds, straight flushes and last but not least royal flushes. It goes without saying that the payout schedule can vary from machine to machine, so that discerning gamblers are able to select the most money-making ones every time.
As soon as the initial round has finished, the player can either decide to continue on in an attempt to increase their earnings, or they can press the ‘collect’ button to retrieve any cash that might have been won. Further, several versions of the game allow the gambler a chance to double their wins, in which case another game is played. There are also variations among individual machines, with some virtual decks including wild cards and other differing characteristics to increase playability.
